Turn on Developer Tab / VB Editor for Outlook

Before you can write any code or record macros for Outlook, you need to be able to access the Developer Tab. This is how you turn it on

  1. Right Click anywhere on the ribbon at the top of Outlook, then select “Customize the Ribbon…”

  2. Choose the drop down on the right and select “All Tabs”

  3. Select the “Developer” item and then click the “Add >>” button to move it to the right side.

  4. Click OK

  5. Now the Developer tab shows on the ribbon and you can select the Visual Basic editor
Select Developer Tab, then click Visual Basic Icon
